People Show Returns to Wandsworth Festival this week
with the premier of People Show 125
People Show returns to the Wandsworth Arts Festival for the third year in a row. Gareth Brierley says: “We all record our lives, mostly on our phones. The camera phone makes us all stars and through this new production we’ll explore this 21st century phenomenon.”
People Show 125: The Camera Show is devised by People Show and emerging artists from The University of Roehampton and ALRA (The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts) – most of whom belong to the earliest generation easily able to have their life spans caught on film.

Are You Sitting Comfortably? Olympics Special

Friday 13th July, 7.30pm.

Toynbee Studios
28 Commercial Street, E1 6AB

BOOK TICKETS HERE

White Rabbit invites you to join them in the Arts Bar & Café for original short stories written by Londoners and read aloud by the team at White Rabbit. There will be music, laughter and perhaps some bruised knees for this Olympics special, because in case you hadn’t noticed London plays host to a very special sporting event this summer!

Following the storytelling, weather permitting, we will be joining in the athletic spirit, in our own topsy-turvy way, by hosting sports day activities, embracing winners and losers everywhere. You can expect to compete in egg and spoon, three legged and sack races in the courtyard outside.

And if that wasn’t enough, as a summery treat we will be putting on a complimentary, quintessentially English spread with cucumber sarnies and cream tea.

The winning writers are…Iain Gonoude, Michael Mac, Louise Irwin, Incidently Bentley, Mary Paterson, Nuala Walsh, Mike Murphy, Steve Keyworth, Alan Fielden

White Rabbit’s Are You Sitting Comfortably? is a unique story-telling cabaret event. It provides writers with the opportunity to have their stories read aloud by performers as well as the chance to be published by their partners Ether.

Are You Sitting Comfortably? has toured to many spectacular venues in the UK including National Theatre, Thames Festival, Diamond Jubilee Pageant, Toynbee Studios, Wandsworth Arts Festival, Islington WORD2012 Festival, The Basement and Jackson’s Lane.

Welcome to the all new People Show Blog!

Because of our lovely new website, we now have a People Show blog! We like to think we’re clued up on new technology, but it might take us a while to get going.

Please feel free to comment on posts, but remember:

IF YOU CAN’T SAY SOMETHING NICE, DON’T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL…
